With Roadies 1.0’s Success and Adventure …We bring you another Thrilling adventure done by SISO ROADIES on 22nd March ….. Yes
SISO ROADIES Version 2.0 …..
This time the Adventure had more of a meaning…Required more Strength, Demanded more toughness & Mental Fitness from the Roadies. Since there is no shortcut to Success & No Gains without Pains … D Adventure had to Go Beyond Everyone’s imagination. This Time D count was 12 as compared to last version’s 14 probably because of the Timing of the Adventure, as it was to be held at Night. Anyhow those who missed it… Would definitely regret it once they are thru with this Description. So Guys & Gals please fasten your seat belt as we take you thru the Thrilling Adventure Virtually.
The Plan was all set, 13 people were ready for the final take off which had to start at 9:30pm on 22nd March. But not everything goes as per D planning and nothing’s Straight and Easy with each version of Roadies. A final Setback for all came as a Backout from one of the Roadie which was a shock for many. Anyhow there was no looking back at this point as the preparations were all done. Everybody, who was IN for the Adventure had packed their Bags with all the Necessities, from Eatables to Medicines, Gallons of water to Emergency requirements & Clothing to Cameras….. All Boarded the Flight which had seating arrangement for all 12 and departed at 11pm …Slightly behind D Schedule as decided. The Masti started as usual with some Big PJ’s and Roadies Bakwaas which everybody had become used too & some of the ears had gone so immune to it that they didn’t even bother to Respond. Anyhow the next Big time pass was Dumb Sharaz which did help all to forget worrying about the Route, as everyone thought the Pilot is pretty intelligent to find it out. But as the time was slipping by the TimePass Stopped and everyone became Serious having not found the Route to the place we actually had to Land. The Flight kept Circling around as there was no Signal on which route to take and No ATC (Air Traffic Controller) to help. With anyone Hardly able to decode what was written in the form of Jalebi’s on the Route board on the Road sides the Flight had to Halt to take help from a Police Constable …. Finally some respite for all as we Could read what was written on one of the boards…Everyone realized, They are Literate J hahaha
…YooHoooo …. We reached the point & It was already 1am (morning) at that point… …. And all stepped out of the Flight to just have a view of the LAKSHYA …… Standing tall almost 600feet above the ground…… But obvious it was not going to be a rope climbing stuff…. We had to take a Simple flat Path may be round about to reach the Top. Everyone Loaded their shoulders with Bags stuffed with Food and others items. The Actual Journey was starting now as we left our flight behind and now was the time for Testing out Legs. Hardly 50 metres and we found ourselves lost in the Bushes….Moving the Thorny, Prickly bushes behind we moved Forward to Realize we had taken the Wrong Turn. At that Moment everyone thought of bringing on a Guide for help but Suddenly the Idea took a Backseat as we found a Route. A Roadie never takes help outside its Own Team, that’s what it should be & that it was. Some got scratches on face & hands due to the Bushes…but nothing could De-spirit the Roadies. The Journey went On ... But again within 100 metres a Shock for everyone as one of the Roadie went Blackout…Shouting the words “I cannot see” … and this got everyone scared for a while. The Trekks just started…we have not reached our Lakshya…Fear of the Journey ending at that point came to many. But with some 10 minutes of Rest the Roadie was found standing High …Determined to make It to the Top. As the Roadies moved on, the Terrain became more Dangerous, Tougher to Climb and more Strenuous for the body. Taking halts at every 100 metres became Ususal. But with Time slipping out there was no other Way but to reach the Top before it is Sunrise. Every 10 minutes we could hear some or the other Questioning … and the Question was obvious to be “How much more Is it?? ……. How far is it now?? “ … But no Answers to this Question as no one actually knew. The Higher we went the Tougher it became… and Dangerous to even look back for those having Altophobia. But it was hard to resist capturing the Scenic beauty and that too under Moonlight.
To our Surprise we actually had a 13th Roadie Joining us and Leading from the front. He Stopped where we did, Leaded where required and Supported whatever he could. We named him Manikchand…..But this Roadie couldn’t speak…. Only could wag his Tail to indicate something…as it was a Dog…. J J J …. Some 200 metres were left when the Mist came into picture…. D visibility dropped to hardly a few meters and the Torches became useless. This was the time when 3 Roadies unknowingly took a Different Track and the group split into 2. Other 9 infact 10 including the 13th one went ahead with no Sounds Audible from their end. Those 3 Roadies got Trapped as the Route came to a Dead End…..It took them Sometime to Finally find a way out and that was to Climb a 6 feet Wall. With some extra effort they succeeded in Bypassing the wall. With some more Trek ahead they found the other 9 Roadies and D Group was again complete of 12 in all. The final 100 metres went in a Flash with Anxiety of being near to the Top and everyone put some extra effort, pushed a bit more hard to finally reach their LAKSHYA. The Roadies conquered the Top but it took them around 4 hours. The feeling’s could not be expressed in words, D joy & Happiness bubbling out.
The High Speed Winds didn’t allow us to Stand for long at the Top as we all decided to Sit on the Peak. With the Wind becoming more chilly and Fierce it was looking as if the Wind Had decided to bring on some damage to the Roadies. But a Roadie spirit is tough to Break and we all Decided to Stuff something into our stomachs after the hard trek up…It also surved the purpose of counteracting the Chilly Wind blowing at around 70kmph. We had time in hand before the Sun could actually come out of the Horizon doors. We utilized this time by playing Antakshari. Slowly the Atmoshpere started clearing… the Mist & Clouds Disappearing and we could see Everyones Face anxiously waiting for the Sunrise. The Wait had to be long as it was a Cloudy Night and we were not sure to be able to see What we Wanted. The waiting time was utilized in Preparation’s for Breakfast & Tea …….The Chilly Winds had affected everyone and Chai at this moment would bring back some Energy Lost by the Roadies. But before the Chai could be prepared the Fire had to be lit. With some extra effort finding Dry Wood Pieces the Fire finally came up and the Tea preparation started.
At this point everyone realized that the Sunrise won’t be visible as the clouds were not allowing the Sun to show his Face. Slightly dispirited by this fact, the Roadies awaited atleast the Chai to come up. It was almost 20 minutes as the Chai didn’t boil … But the Chai also had different plans (Naam nahi le rahi thi Boil hone ka) ….. ….Besharam Chai finally came up but took almost 30 mintues to boil. All Roadies finally had some Breakfast and Chai….a Big Energy booster to all… After all this it was time for taking Photo’s and we Discovered lot of people around. On our Way up we had noticed people going but their faces were not visible. It was a big surprise and a Question for many as to “How did some Ladies wearing Sarees Climb up the Hill??” …D Question still remains unanswered as no replies came for it. Anyhow we took lot of Photo’s on the peak, explored all the area around D top. Not a single Length and Breadth was left undiscovered. Almost 9 am in our watches and we knew it was time to bid Adieu to the Peak and start our journey back. The worst thing to happen was the Rain which started, though almost like a drizzle but it did make the Path slippery and Dangerous for the Roadies…..dangerous for the fact that incase anyone slips he would either reach the starting point the fastest ever (World Record for entry in Guinness Book) or would take his last Journey of Life. But Thank God no Casualties happened. Only a single Casualty occurred….it was not a Casualty infact but just that 11 Roadies had to wait for a Roadie whose Stamina gave up finally. Anyhow the Arrangements for Emergency were taken care by one of the fellow Roadie. Once relieved the Roadie was back and the Journey continued…This was the time we could Actually see what Route we had taken & what all we had Missed …the Landscapes, Breathtaking Views, Mountains and the Beauty of Nature around. So we took lott of halts on the way back as well to capture loads of memories …in our Mind + the Camera as an Assistant.
Everyone was Happy inside but no one could actually show it Outside except while taking Photos because most of the Roadies were Tired due to lack of Sleep whole night. But there was One Roadie who had a constant Smile all along the Journey, So happy, Bubbling with Joy… It was looking as if that Roadie had been a Fugitive on that Peak for a long time and the remaining 11 had come for Rescue. J J J. No one had any idea or Reason behind it but Everyone kept moving ahead …….one with a Broad smile on Face & remaining 11 with a smwhat small, normal face. Happy Inside….Abnormal Outside ……….The Smiling Roadie was trekking so Confidently as if the route was a Skating ground. With hands inside the Jacket and without support from Anyone this Roadie wanted to reach the Bottom ahead of anyone else. But in doing so the Roadie did Fall lot many times… the effect was ZERO… still smiling … hands back inside the Jacket…..and then came the final Demo ….. 3D Summer Sault from that Roadie…. One of a kind which even International swimmers cannot attempt to do ……. J J …… But no effect again … back on foot…smile on face…….hands back in Jacket Again…….and Bade chalo …… “Nanha munna rahi hoon ………..bolo mere sang Jai skandgiri….Jai skandgiri” ……….
All Roadies reached the bottom around 10:30 am…pretty early …Thanks to the Smiling Roadie…. J J …. We took some final Photos … Group photos indicating the Success …. As if the Roadies Battalion had captured the Peak. Jhanda to laga diya SISO Ka ….. in Roadie Spirit……..but the stamina gave up for everyone as it was time to capture another arena…..and that was D Restroom ………. At around 11am everyone came out Fresh …..back with Stamina….and Roadies Boarded their Flight……same flight they had left Previous Night. The Pilot Greeted their arrival back …and the Flight took off for the Pavillion. Everyone had plans in mind to play Antakshari or Dumb sharaz on the way back ….but Hello …… as One of them looked back the Roadie Sena had been bowled out Completely….. Everybody sleeping agape (mouth open) ……. “Sab so rahe the” …… Time for small naps…… After around an hour all decided for a common Lunch…. And the place decided was Spice & Curry Restaurant on 80ft Road IndiraNagar. One of the Roadie dropped out of it being too tired and the count became 11. We reached the Restaurant at 1:30 pm…everybody Ordered Food like Monkeys saw Banana’s after Longtime. Everybody had food in Silence ….”Jaise Sabne maun vratt rakh liya ho... till evening or maybe next day “….. Some were found Sitting below the Table as if Pleading to be thrown in a corner or a bed “Thodi si jaga dedo bhai … sona hai…bahut din se soya nahin hoon”. With a little Energy the Roadies gained from the Lunch…. they started again for SISO …D Place where it had all started…..D Plan, D Idea, D Adventure……
Roadies reached SISO at 3pm ….where everyone Bid Adieu to each other with the promise to be seen back at SISO the Next day……..
It was time for some rest, naps, dreams, a small corner to just fall asleep ... D only vision in everyone’s eyes was of a BED... &
Everyone Left ……
The Adventure had finished….D plan was a Huge success……D Idea had Rocked…..but only to place the Germs of another Adventure
in everyone’s Mind ………
Yes U caught it Right ……….SISO ROADIES Version 3.0 …………….. Coming Soon ……… So Keep
Coming back to check out for Updates on the same…As SISO ROADIES never inform anyone about the Adventure…They plan it

Anupam, The description of the Skandagiri trek almost appears to be a helluva fun and grips the reader till the end in the excitement of the plot build by your words. Once again this highlights your observant nature and sense of humour. Cool job done.
Also the SISO Roadies deserve a big applaud without whose adventure this blog could not have possibly been written!!!
